United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)

UNFPA promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect. UNFPA Jordan and the government are committed to focus on three main areas in the current country programme, which are: 1) Population Dynamics 2) Maternal And New born Health 3) Gender Equality and Reproductive Health.

Moreover, UNFPA Jordan started its emergency program in Jordan in early 2012, to respond to the reproductive health rights of Syrians women and girls and to ensure providing them with high quality life-saving protection services.
